pre-ordered 'the heir'

Hello everyone,
yes yes, I finally today pre-ordered 'The Heir' by Keira Cass.
The Heir is the 4th book in the selection series.
The Selection books are one of my favourite book series.
I love the whole relationship with Maxon and America.
The Heir follows where 'the one' left off, This time it's selection time, but not for Maxon or America, but for their daughter.
CAN YOU SEE MY EXCITEMENT?! I'm so curious and excited to see how this book is written and how the story goes :D
have you pre-ordered/received it yet? and have you already read it?
btw, that cover! :O it's so very pretty!

In time calaena is drawn into a conspiracy and a series of battles, leading to discoveries surrounding both the kingdom and herself.

Review:
so many people recommended this book to me that I just had to try it. I went in with high expectations but the book wasn't quite what I expected it to be.
The first half I found really boring. the story wasn't establishing very well and the characters weren't really appealing to me. Not many things happened and I was tempted to put it away and start another book.
I actually did and didn't read in the book for over 3 weeks.
When I saw the many more positive reactions on the book I decided to pick it up again.
I'm not sorry I did.
I started reading the book where I left off and after around 30 pages it actually began getting better and better. from then on I just really enjoyed the book. I understood calaena's storyline and also the happenings in the book were so much better than the first half.
I loved the part of Dorian falling in love with her but she didn't feel that way. It's something that happens in daily life and this seeing in a fantasy young adult novel is just great.
I gave the book 3 out of 5 stars, just because the first half lacked imagination from the author.
I can't wait to start the next book in the trilogy.
hopefully it will be even better! :D

gone for some time

Hello all!

As you might have noticed, I've been away for some time.
Got into a very hectic period with school and also my relationship ended. I've felt bad for ages but as from now on I want to start blogging again.
at the moment I'm reading Throne of glass by Keira cass, a book by the Dutch author Toon Tellegen and Hollow city by Ransom Riggs. I also want to start reading some classics, never read any before and my shelves are full of them.
soon in the Netherlands are the May holidays, I'm a week off then. Hopefully then I'll be reading pride and prejudice by Jane Austen.

hope to have updated you all.

Happy reading!

Love,
Claire

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself--and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Review :
I coulnd't put This book down. Loved It from the 1st page.

The book is about a girl called 'america'. One day she get's a letter to enter the selection. Her boyfriend wants her to enter because he Thinks she'll get a better future if she gets chosen. She's surprised when she gets chosen and she is send to the palace to participate In the game for prince maxon. She gets to know the prince better and they are becoming friends. Because of some issues at home she doesn't want to get send back. The prince decides to keep her for as long as possible. Eventually he has feelings for America. America still loves her 'boyfriend' and wants some time to think. Of course also other girls are still fighting to become the prince's wife and America doesn't know where her heart belongs.

The book ends really good. Can't wait to read the sequel. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Hopefully the 2nd book will be even better.

Suzie’s just a regular gal with an irregular gift: when she has sex, she stops time. One day she meets Jon and it turns out he has the same ability. And sooner or later they get around to using their gifts to do what we’d ALL do: rob a couple banks. A bawdy and brazen sex comedy for comics begins here!

Review :
First of all I want to say that this was a book that I didn't expect to be like it was. It was very interesting to read and cought myself saying 'What?!' too many times. It's a very fun read but not for the faint hearted.

This book is about a girl called suzie and she has a special ability. every time she has sex time stops around her. one day she meets Jon and he has the same ability. they become lovers and kinda have sex all the time. They one day decide to rob a bank because Suzie needs funds for her local library. they both see no harm in doing it. But soon a group of people called the 'sex police' finds out Jon and Suzie have sex to rob the bank and try to stop them.
